DesignBytes is a creative initiative in the form of “byte”-sized animated gifs. It is unique digital content crafted as easy-to-digest design lessons that use the universal appeal of food as a medium to educate and clarify the principles of design.

One of the core values of Cosmic Design – a multidisciplinary Toronto-based agency – is clear and open communication between designers and clients.

In an effort to demystify design jargon – such as leading, tracking, and bleed (as it pertains to design) – whimsical and vibrant animations were developed as unique, on-brand social media content, aiming for a more concise and immediate understanding of the concepts.

A playful and conversational tone was developed for the copy to support and complement the visuals. The accompanying copy explains the design concept while avoiding confusing technical language, keeping it light and fun so as to be consistent with the aesthetic.
